ASICS National Volleyball Qualifier Kansas City

Volleyball:  you know you love it!

One of twelve national qualifying events for the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships, the 2018 ASICS Show Me National Qualifier will be held right here in Kansas City.  USA Volleyball and Heart of America Volleyball are co-sponsoring this event, which is open to the public and FREE!

Events will be held April 7-9 and April 13-15.  All matches will be played at the Kansas City Convention Center in Bartle Hall.

The KC Convention Center is at 301 West 13th Street, Kansas City, Missouri  64105, 4.5 miles from Southmoreland on the Plaza, a quick 13 minute drive up Main Street.

Or, perhaps you’d prefer to use public transit.  At $1.50 for a typical fare or $3 for a day pass, it is a bargain, and convenient to boot!  Southmoreland is on E. 46th Street.  Simply walk out our front door, make a right, walk one and one half blocks, and you’ll be at Main Street.  With pick-up locations at 47th Street and 45th Street, catching the bus is a breeze.  For routes, fares, schedules and other information, visit

However you choose to get to the games, select Southmoreland on the Plaza as your home base!  Reservations can be made at www.southmoreland.com .  We’d be happy to guide you around the city by offering up recommendations for routes, parking, and dining near the games.

Volleyball has been quite the focus in town these past few months.  The 2017 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Volleyball Championship games were played right here in KC in December at Sprint Center.  Four teams remained at the time: top-ranked Penn State, Florida, Stanford and Nebraska.  The victors were the midwest’s own Nebraska Cornhuskers!
