North of us is Chicken and Pickle, where you can sip a cocktail, grab a bite to eat, and most importantly, reserve a pickleballcourt! Courts are available both indoors and outdoors. Located near the Inn in Westport, Char Bar’s name is duly subtitled “Smoked Meats and Amusements”. Croquet, bocce ball, ping pong and corn holecan all be enjoyed on the north side of the restaurant. Their website proclaims: “We’ve created a new kind of playground where carnivores, herbivores and locavores can co-mingle peacefully.”

This is KC’s first board gamepub, boasting a library of over 1000 games! The bar beverages and food are provided by the Homesteader Café on 7thStreet, quite near the pub’s location at 613 Walnut near The City Market. Plus, they’ll teach you how to play if you need a bit of instruction.
